Water Bill Release

On April 6, 2021, the Council of the City of Morden held a Special Meeting to discuss the issue of the high water bills. 

While Council sympathizes with the residents affected, they cannot reduce the bills as this billing cycle reflects actual water usage. Council does recognize that residents may not be in a position to pay the amount in full by the due date of April 14, 2021, and passed a resolution to waive penalty/interest for three months to give residents time to catch up on outstanding amounts without further fees. 

Council requests that payments on water accounts be made in smaller increments over the next three months to ensure that outstanding amounts are paid before the next billing cycle to avoid penalty/interest.
