Curbside Waste Pickup

The City of Morden offers free yard-waste collection twice per year. This system is intended to collect bulk yard waste items, limited to branches and twigs from pruning, leaves that are bagged in certified compostable paper bags, and dead or unwanted garden plants.

The City of Morden does not collect items bagged in plastic. The paper compost bags are available at most hardware and grocery stores.

The Spring and Fall weeks are prescheduled, and collection days will coincide with the zone schedule for the three-stream cart system, falling on the waste pickup days as follows:

FALL WEEK
Zone 1 – October 15, 2024
Zone 2 – October 16, 2024
Zone 3 – October 18, 2024

SPRING WEEK
Zone 1 – May 7, 2024
Zone 2 – May 8, 2024
Zone 3 – May 10, 2024

Residents may access the Willcocks Road Compost Yard at any time to drop off yard waste only. Other items that you would put in your green bin (such as food scraps or pet waste) do not belong in the Compost Yard; those materials are processed mechanically at a compost plant in Morden’s industrial park.
