Morden, Winkler, and the RM of Stanley are working together to reduce water consumption in light of the extreme drought conditions in the region.
As a result, a new program to provide rain barrels at a cost-shared rate to residents has been developed.
These rain barrels will be available for purchase at each of their municipal offices for $130 each.
The rain barrels include:
100-gallon vertical poly tank
8” lid assembly (installed)
8” basket strainer (installed)
¾” Bulkhead (drain) (installed)
¾” MPT nipple (supplied)
¾” single union valve (supplied)
1-1/4” bulkhead (overflow) (installed)
1-1/4” 90 deg hose barb (supplied)
💧 Barrels are $130 each (including tax).
💧 Limit of one barrel per Morden household.
💧 Barrels can be paid for and seen at the civic centre at 100-195 Stephen St.
💧 First come, first serve.
