Kabbalat Shalom - Opening Night

  • Pembina Hills Arts Council 352 Stephen Street Morden, MB, R6M 1T5 Canada (map)

We are thrilled to extend to you a warm invitation to the debut exhibition of Rimon Art Collective, a collective constructed by School Of Art Alumni, Current students and Honour students, our collective is where we proudly showcase our shared cultural heritage through art. As an emerging collective of Women Jewish artists based in Manitoba, we are excited to present our first show, embodying the spirit of creativity, resilience, and community.

At Rimon, our name embodies the rich symbolism and deep meaning we infuse into our art. Just as the pomegranate holds within it numerous seeds, each representing a facet of our identity and experience, so too do our artworks reflect the multitudes within us. Our collective art statement underscores our commitment to fostering a supportive family of artists and reclaiming spaces for Jewish expression in the face of adversity.

As Jewish artists, we understand the importance of communication and the role of art as a universal language. In a world where misunderstanding and mistranslation often prevail, we strive to use our creativity to bridge divides and amplify our voices. This exhibition serves as our (ืงื‘ืœืช ืฉืœื•ื) Kabbalat Shalom - our offering of peace and understanding to the world.
