Drought Planning at Lake Minnewasta

Hello Camper,

Lake Minnewasta is experiencing severe drought conditions and we are asking you to assist in minimizing your water usage. The water will be turned on at the campground; however, we urge all visitors to follow these guidelines:

  1. Please come with your holding tank filled,

  2. Absolutely NO watering of grass or plants with the City of Morden sourced water.

  3. Minimize shower times.

This plan will be in effect until further notice.

Please note that due to the drought conditions, there are no motorized watercraft vehicles allowed on the lake, including trolling motors. The control gates to the boat dock have been locked until further notice.

As lake levels continue to change, please exercise caution in the swimming area as there may be unfamiliar drop-offs and deeper water than in previous years.

We also ask you to follow COVID-19 provincial guidelines. As per the latest health orders, only your household members can be at your campsite. Keep at least 6 feet distance when in public spaces, and we ask you to wear a mask when entering the campground office.

If you have any further questions, please donโ€™t hesitate to ask our campground manager.

Thank you for your understanding, and for your commitment to helping keep each other safe.
